News Update
The Sonic Revolution welcomes new drummer Bob Riegger. The band spent the last few months auditioning drummers to replace original drummer Soofis who parted ways with the band back in Febuary. The drummer "situation" couldn't have come at a worse time. The band was hot on the release of the Power Failure CD and looking forward to spending some much needed time playing shows in support of the CD. Even so, the re-org of the group gave the band a well needed break after releasing 3 CDs in just a little more than 2 years. It also gave the members some time to re-charge and re-focus. Never content on sitting still, the band also spent the "down time" shelling out some new material which will most likely find it's way onto the next CD. With a new drummer now firmly on-board the band can get back to work both in the studio and on the stage. check back often for updates regarding upcoming show dates.

Work on the new CD by The Sonic Revolution titled "Power
Failure" is about 75% completed. In the five weeks since
tracking for the new CD began, the band has made significant
progress on the disk. All of the music has been recorded and
a sizable chunk of the vocal tracks have been laid down as well.
Altho it's still too early in the process to pin down a release
date. A sooner then later release is likely. Check back soon
for a sample track from the forthcoming new CD.

"Dystopia" is now available for purchase. The new album
contains 8 new songs that pick up where the first album left
off and continue the heavy/aggressive/melodic approach that The
Sonic Revolution have built..The songs on "Dystopia"
form a lyrical theme that force the listener to step back and
think, while the music doesn't let up for a second.

- The Sonic Revolution:
Debut CD Now Available - Summer 2004
The debut CD from The Sonic Revolution contains eleven honest,
passionate songs, written by four of Long Island's most talented
musicians. From the blistering opening notes of "Deeper,"
the listener is aware that he is in the presence of talented
musicians. But the primary appeal of The Sonic Revolution lies
in the fact that these players know that the best way to showcase
their abilities is by writing good songs. This debut is filled
with good songs. Musically, this is aggressive, often angry stuff.
Lyrically, the material is intensely personal and often politically-charged.
The common thread throughout the disc is that each song, no matter
how aggressive or angry, has a hook and a melody that elevates
it above a simple diatribe. The choruses in these songs stick
with the listener as effectively as their messages do. All musicians
say they write "from the heart." Not all of them actually
do. One listen to The Sonic Revolution, and it's undeniable that
this is one band that does. If you're tired of lifeless "modern
rock" and melody-challenged "nu-metal," the debut
CD from The Sonic Revolution is exactly what you've been looking
for.
